2020 has been a challenging year — for each one of us and for forests.
COVID placed us under pressures never experienced before. In the Amazon, behind the shadow of the pandemic, deforestation soared to a 12 year high.
The light that continued to shine through the grim news and challenges was your support.
Thank you. We’re here because of your generosity and love. And thanks to you, in 2021 we’ll be going places − together.
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to launch the app before Christmas.
To be honest, we’re disappointed. We really wanted to have the app with you on the 20th. And we thought we were prepared.
But due to a combination of things (like high traffic, reduced capacity in the App Stores due to COVID, minor issues in the app) the app is still in review.
So, this Christmas, we’ve decided to share a link where you can test the app.
It’s a two step process:

It’s not the exact gift we wanted to give you this Christmas, but it’s what we have right now.
Our development partner (fluxweave) believes the app will be downloadable from the actual stores on the 28th. Fingers crossed! We can’t wait to have it up.
Personally, I’m thinking about how we can learn from this delay. We launched in beta exactly so we can experience these road bumps early, and there’s a lot of lessons to be excavated from this experience.
I’m confident 2021 will be all the more fruitful, thanks to what we’re learning now.
